Philip Lauer has conducted a respected and successful practice in Eastern Pennsylvania for over forty years. Although his practice has had an emphasis on criminal defense matters, Mr. Lauer has successfully tried to verdict a wide variety of complex civil matters. Mr. Lauer is regarded as one of the best litigators and most successful criminal defense attorneys in the region. He has conducted the defense of many high profile cases, some of which have been the subject of productions by NBC Dateline, the Learning Channel and other national media. Recently Mr. Lauer obtained an acquittal in a death penalty case in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania with very difficult factual circumstances. He has represented criminal Defendants and civil litigants in virtually all of the Courts of Eastern Pennsylvania, as well as federal courts in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, West Virginia and Georgia. He is one of the few lawyers in this area to have appeared and argued before the United States Supreme Court. He has served as solicitor to local municipalities and boards and currently serves as solicitor to Northampton County Council. He is a member of and has lectured to a number of professional organizations. Mr. Lauer’s extensive courtroom experience has earned him the respect of clients and colleagues throughout the state. Mr. Lauer also serves on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s Criminal Procedural Rules Committee. Mr. Lauer is a 1968 graduate of the Dickinson School of Law and a 1965 graduate of Lehigh University. A Lehigh Valley native for his entire life, Mr. Lauer was also a member of the United States Army Reserve.

Jennifer R. Sletvold

Jennifer Sletvold has represented clients in a broad range of civil litigation matters including acting as lead counsel in business and contract disputes civil rights matters and injury cases in both state and federal court. She has counseled business and individuals in drafting contracts, proposals, all types of business documents, and has extensive experience with a variety of appellate matters in both state and federal court. Ms. Sletvold has experience with drafting and editing employee manuals, conducting employee training seminars on company policy and procedures, advising public and private employers regarding federal and state laws, employment matters and compliance issues. She has represented businesses and individuals with respect to organized labor matters, sexual harassment, age discrimination, pregnancy discrimination, civil rights issues, copyrights and intellectual property, trade secrets, wrongful termination, whistle blower issues, trucking matters, overtime issues, worker’s compensation, unemployment compensation, executive bonus and compensation matters, statutory and employer issues, work place safety, insurance coverage, insurance disputes, incorporation, partnerships and LLC’s, independent contractor contracts and disputes, piercing the corporate veil, contract terms negotiations and disputes, indemnification issues, distributorship agreements, software licensing agreements, covenants not to compete and confidentiality agreements.

Her litigation experience includes personal injury, auto accidents including uninsured/under insured coverage issues, slip and fall, medical malpractice, products liability, catastrophic injury, wrongful death and survival actions from defective products and work place injuries, collections matters, land disputes, construction cases, zoning disputes, defamation/liable/slander, service of process of foreign defendants under the Hague Convention, insurance coverage disputes, temporary restraining orders, injunctions, contract disputes, dram shop act matters, and family law matters.

Ms. Sletvold has obtained several seven figure settlements for clients and has obtained large verdicts and settlements for a myriad of cases. She also teaches business law and contracts law at a local college and has served on the boards of several community groups.

Josh Fulmer

Mr. Fulmer’s areas of practice include criminal defense and general civil litigation. Mr. Fulmer has defense experience in the Courts of Common Pleas, Magisterial Courts and Juvenile Court systems, representing individuals charged with a broad spectrum of crimes. Mr. Fulmer’s civil litigation experience includes contract disputes, personal injury matters, landlord tenant matters, civil rights matters, and commercial disputes. He also specializes in alternative dispute resolution, having served on arbitration panels and studied internationally in advanced training on mediation and negotiation.

A lifelong resident of the Easton area, Mr. Fulmer graduated from Notre Dame High School, is a proud graduate of the Pennsylvania State University, and an alumnae of the New England School of Law.

Mr. Fulmer serves on the Northampton County Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division, Public Services Committee, and Computer Committee.
